Welcome Back to Pulsation Yoga
Per IL state guidelines, yoga studios can re-open for in-person classes within new guidelines. Pulsation Yoga is happy to announce we are adding a limited number in-person classes at both yoga studios. You can still find online yoga every day – daily live-streaming and new pre-recorded freebies – but now you can also find limited in-studio classes.
Temporary Guidelines for In-Person
While there is now a vaccine available, there is still a lot of work to do to keep our communities safe during these challenging times. The state of IL is calling for students and teachers to continue wearing a mask during their practice. The mask should fit over both your nose and your mouth and should be worn at all times possible in the studio. In addition, space will be limited to meet capacity and spacing guidelines. Six students plus one instructor can practice in the Arlington Heights studio and nine students plus one instructor in the Lake Zurich studio.
We are hoping that our state and our communities continue to see our positivity rates decrease and our hospital capacity increase, as well as more readily available vaccinations. When this happens, the governor will continue to lift restrictions and we can further adjust our offerings and our studio guidelines. Please keep in touch as we update these pages and our schedules.
Yoga Options for Every Yogi
Most daytime classes that were live-streaming will continue to live-stream. In addition, we are slowly adding in new in-studio classes in both the Arlington Heights and Lake Zurich yoga studios. There are only a few new options on the schedule as of now, and more will be added in as the guidelines and student needs are monitored. Be sure to check the website, app or social media for the latest and greatest news.
Students are also welcome to book your favorite teacher for an individual or group private lesson, which can take in-studio or online. We’ve had great fun with student groups and individuals during this time, and we’ve seen students’ practices soar with the individualized attention. Learn more about all your yoga options here.
New Procedures and Safety Precautions
Your safety and health are a top priority to us. We are following all Illinois state guidelines and going beyond state requirements.
- Yoga students and teachers are required to wear a mask at all times, including during practice.
- Class sizes are limited for proper distancing: Six students in Arlington Heights and nine in Lake Zurich are permitted.
- You will see taped off spots on the floor or the wall for your mat, all spaced over six feet apart so that all students are safely distanced.
- Yoga instructors will not be moving off their mat or doing any hands on adjustments unless the immediate safety of a student is in jeopardy.
- Instructors will leave doors propped open when appropriate, for air flow.
In addition, we are asking students to please bring their own yoga props. Pulsation Yoga offers a variety of blocks, straps, bolsters, bolster covers and blankets for sale. In the case of instructors offering in-studio props when necessary, all props will be properly disinfected after each use. Blankets and bolster covers will have to be laundered after use, so they will be put aside. After each class, the floor and any walls used in class will be disinfected, as well as any commonly touched surfaces.
In order to help make your time at the studio as “hands free” as possible, we are asking students to please register and purchase online as much as possible. Also, instructors will check you into class, therefore no ipads or pens are required. Due to the limited spaces available, we ask that any registrants for in-person classes that need to cancel do so 24 hours in advance so that others may register in your spot. Any classes not canceled will still be charged to your account.
Still Unsure? We Understand
We want you to do what is right for you. As always, Pulsation Yoga is a judgement free zone, on and off the mat. We truly hope you can find an option that is right for you to continue your practice.
