Friday Feb. 1 @ 7:00 pm| $25
The workshop cost includes the book and your first beverage.
Gather together with your fellow yogis for an evening of food, drinks and discussion. The night will focus on the book Fearless After Fifty: How to Thrive with Grace, Grit and Yoga by Desiree Rumbaugh and Michelle Marchildon as a great intro into the philosophy and grace behind Desiree Rumbaugh before she joins our studio for a weekend workshop in March.
We’ll meet in the lounge at Roaring Table for discussion from 7:00-8:00 pm. Afterwards, if you’d like, we will stay to enjoy the acoustic music of Paige Hargrove.
Desiree Rumbaugh is an international yoga teacher with an unquenchable enthusiasm for life, love and healing. Desiree travels the world full-time sharing her compassion and her joy with others interested in the transformational power of yoga. In this book, Desiree explores yoga, Hindu and Buddhist inspiration, scientifically-based research, and practical advice to thrive in midlife. She reminds us: It’s not game over. It’s game on.
More about the book:
In these days when so much about a youthful world is glorified, along comes a courageous new book that shows how to flourish in midlife with yoga. Fearless after Fifty: How to Thrive with Grace, Grit and Yoga is written by two internationally known teachers, Desiree Rumbaugh and Michelle Marchildon, the Yogi Muse. These two women write with a candid, conversational “been there, done that” tone that demystifies yoga and makes you want what they’re having. Fearless after Fifty has a foreword by Cyndi Lee, and is endorsed by Ana Forest, Seane Corn, Elena Brower, Colleen Saidman, Amy Ippoliti and a dozen more superstar, internationally-recognized teachers. It is filled with anecdote and story, proven, scientifically-based research, and practical advice for how to get that swagger in midlife.
